Is there any way to update the firmware on a Levelstar Icon?

Today, I finally received my Levelstar Icon. I was disappointed to find that it is
running version 1.06 of the software. Is there any possible way to update to the
latest firmware build? I realize that the device has been discontinued for several
years now, but I was hoping it still could be updated.

I don't think it actually can. It was a great device ahead of its time. It was probably discontinued, due to costly repairs. If you dropped one once, since it has a computer hard drive, it pretty much would break. HTH.
